This newly purchased apartment in Sydney’s inner-city suburb of Redfern was reimagined as a sleek, modern retreat that balances calm with character.

The client’s priority was to retain a striking, feminine artwork that anchors the living space—serving as both a focal point and an emotional thread throughout the design. From there, a palette of soothing blues and cool tonal layers was introduced to create a sense of ease and quiet within the home.

Set against the energetic rhythm of Redfern’s eclectic, fast-moving streetscape, the apartment offers a deliberate contrast—refined, composed, and quietly confident. The result is a space that feels both grounded and expressive, reflecting the client’s personal aesthetic while providing a sense of retreat from the buzz just outside.
