BREAKFAST POINT ECLECTIC 2.0

Originally completed in 2015 and later published in Home Beautiful (2016), this Breakfast Point apartment has been revisited and reworked for 2026—evolving the original eclectic vision into a more refined and contemporary expression.

This second phase builds on the strong foundation of the initial design, retaining its personality while addressing how the home is lived in today. Several areas of the home were reimagined alongside a full interior repaint and updated electrical plan, allowing the space to function more seamlessly while elevating its overall finish.

Gone are the zig-zag wallpapers and Moroccan-inspired wall treatments, replaced with a more subdued and considered palette of soft rubble tones, smoky seafoam blues, and warm khaki hues from Dulux. The shift brings a sense of calm and cohesion, while still allowing subtle moments of personality to come through.

While the eclectic spirit remains, it has been sharpened—pairing expressive, off-centre moments with a stronger sense of control. The result is a home that feels confident, current, and distinctly individual, while still honouring the character that made the original project so memorable.

“We recently contacted Adam as we felt our lovely apartment in Breakfast Point was in need of a refresh. Working with Adam was an absolute delight both this time and also 13 years ago.

Adam is professional, talented and has a vision that is way beyond ours. His management of the overall project throughout from start to finish worked like a dream. Adam totally understood our brief and the end result was well above our expectations.

Our apartment has now had a complete refresh and is absolutely gorgeous. We feel lucky and privileged that we had Adam working on the project for us and wouldn’t hesitate to contact him again.”

Thank you Adam Scougall.
